For folks who have pre-ordered trees from our John Beckhart Memorial Tree Sale: Due to the government shutdown, our USDA office building remains inaccessible and we have changed the location for tree pick up scheduled for this Friday, October 10th from 8:00am – 4:30pm.

The new tree pick up location is 1115 N State Street, Monticello, IL 61856 on the north side of the buildings. The date and time (10/10, 8:00-4:30) will remain the same. Below is a map showing the new pick up location.

The Piatt County Soil and Water Conservation District would like to thank John for donating his time to the PCSWCD Board of Directors for 19 years, from 2000 to 2019. He was a highly committed board member who rarely missed a meeting. Throughout his time serving on the Board, John has played many roles and was instrumental in developing programs and financial security for the District. The Board and staff are deeply grateful for his dedication to our mission for nearly two decades. In honor of his passing, the District is memorializing the annual fall tree sale as the John Beckhart Memorial Tree Sale.
